Dr. Tina Decker As vice president of global organizational culture for Best Buy Co., Inc., Dr. Tina Decker oversees employee relations, human capital metrics, enterprise training, global change management, diversity and inclusion, and the Project Resource Group. Her teams work to ensure that employees can maximize their workplace potential while having a unique and positive employment experience at Best Buy. The work of her team also complements other human resource functions acting as strategic talent and culture partners for the global retailer. Under Dr. Decker’s leadership, Best Buy has an all-time low turnover rate of 38 percent in the United States and continues to employ a highly engaged productive workforce. She was also responsible for a U.S. talent inventory review process that to-date has been adopted by 90 percent of supervisory-level employees nationwide. Prior to joining Best Buy in 2002, Dr. Decker managed the Best Buy relationship with RHR Consulting, which helps Best Buy further develop its human capital strategy. She served as director for the East Central Florida Memory Disorder Clinic and worked for Decker and Associates, Marketing and Management Consulting Firm, specializing in the medical field. Dr. Decker graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in psychology and cognitive neuroscience. She also holds a master’s degree in psychology and a doctorate (Psy.D) in clinical psychology, specializing in neuropsychology, from Florida Institute of Technology. She serves on the Best Buy Ethics Committee, Best Buy’s Policy Governance committee and is on the board of Allina Hospice and Homecare Partners.
