Andrew Lane | Senior Director of Recruitment Marketing and Channel Strategy | RBC
Andrew Lane is the Senior Director of Recruitment Marketing and Channel Strategy at RBC - but until he took the role, he’s never actually worked in recruitment. Leveraging experience from over 15 years as a storyteller, business builder, educator, marketer and content creator, Andrew is focused on driving an exceptional candidate experience in support of RBC’s vision of becoming a digitally enabled relationship bank.
On his non-traditional path to the world of talent attraction, Andrew has worked for small startups through to large multinationals, and from agency to brand-side in roles spanning across marketing, technology, content creation and strategy. His work is defined by a passion for connecting with audiences through content, experiences and storytelling combined with a deep focus on technology and an ability to strategically lead and manage teams and organizations through innovation.
In addition to his role at RBC, Andrew is also an instructor in the School or Advertising at OCAD University and a Founder of the quarterly event series, Ensemble. When Andrew isn’t busy with his side hustles and leading the team that helps attract the world’s top talent to RBC, he can be found wandering the streets of Toronto (or whichever city he happens to be in) searching for great patios and restaurants, cheering on his hometown Raptors, frequenting his local CrossFit box, and making horrible, cringe-worthy puns.
