Scott Nelson Leadership development has been a constant theme throughout much of Scott Nelson’s career. He has transitioned from helping individuals develop the skills needed to succeed to focusing on the organization—helping create learning and development systems that enable companies to build the talent needed to create sustainable results. Scott has more than 20 years experience building talent management and leadership consulting programs, beginning in graduate school when he developed the selection and promotional processes for the City of Tulsa’s Police and Fire Departments. Scott quickly moved to the professional services side of the business, working for Personnel Decisions, Inc. and Hay Management Consultants. Scott joined MDA as vice president of leadership development in 2005 and became one of the owners in 2007. Prior to joining MDA, Scott managed the Central Region for Linkage, Inc. He has worked with a wide range of companies to develop selection systems, competency models, and succession systems, but his real passion is in building leadership capacity through large-scale customized development programs and executive coaching. Scott completed his B.A. in Psychology from Luther College and has a M.A. degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa. |
