The inaugural Talent Acquisition Institute meeting wrapped up just last week and proved to be a resounding success! Comments from TA Executives included:

Whether the executives were discussing proactive sourcing, the varying impacts of technology and social media on acquisition efforts, the importance of data and analytics in today’s acquisition strategy, the importance of building an employer brand for an improved candidate experience or best practices for building a pipeline of talent, it was clear that they relished the opportunity to be able to share ideas, learn from one another’s experiences and maximize their time at the meeting through attending sessions, meeting with vendors and networking.
With responsibilities for a broad range of both strategic and transactional activities, the Talent Acquisition Leader’s role is often described as that of an “Advisor”, and in this dynamic corporate landscape, Heads of Talent Acquisition need to continually develop themselves into this role of ‘Talent Advisor’, as Celia Harper, Danaher’s VP of Talent Acquisition reminded us in her dynamic and passion filled session on “The Talent Advisor’s Journey.”
After a highly productive 2 ½ days, the Talent Acquisition Leaders returned home, fresh with ideas for starting or improving various initiatives having forged many new relationships and renewed their sense of purpose whilst at the Institute.
