Nicole was named Chief Diversity Officer in 2008 as a “stretch assignment,” working with the CEO and executive diversity council to deepen the company’s commitment to diversity and strengthen Belk’s business case to drive sales and profitability In Feb. 2009, Nicole fully transitioned into an HR strategy, planning, and associate relations role. She continues to serve as the company’s Chief Diversity Officer, but is also responsible for performance management, organizational development, talent acquisition, payroll planning, risk mitigation, and employee relations for the corporate office. She also serves on various task forces for policy development, branding, and employee engagement. Regarding diversity, the company has grown it’s diverse representation in management, marketing efforts, supplier base, and community partnerships during Nicole’s Nicole received The Diversity Forum’s 2010 diversity champion award for her commitment to diversity and inclusion. |
