Mr. Irfan is Former General Counsel: IP/IT for the Americas business region of  Schneider Electric, the Paris-based global specialist in energy management with 100,000+ employees, operations in more than 100 countries and sales over $20 billion. He has a M.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois and a J.D. from DePaul University. Following private practice with two international IP law firms, he currently manages the global procurement, licensing and enforcement of Intellectual Property as well as major IT Out/Insourcing projects. Having served as Secretary and Board Director of the IP Law Association of Chicago, Mr. Irfan regularly lectures on his areas of legal expertise and is committed to pro bono and community service initiatives.  He has received the Director's Community Leadership Award from the U.S. Dept. of Justice; the Distinguished Interfaith Leadership Award from Chicago Mayor Richard Daley; and the Outstanding Community Service Award from the MBA of Chicago.
