Currently, Ms. McGovern works at as Vice President, Human Resources at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis Maryland. In this role she has established the wellbeing framework to guide all workforce initiatives. Prior to her current role, Ms. McGovern worked at Chilton Hospital and Atlantic Health System in New Jersey. She has executive experience in various HR roles, including health benefits administration, talent development and recruitment. She has experience guiding hospital mergers and integration.
She has a master’s degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, New Jersey, and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Lock Haven University, Pennsylvania. She is the author of the book The Happy Employee.
Ms. McGovern is a board member for the Anne Arundel Workforce Initiatives Board and the Anne Arundel United Way Partnership Board.

Rick Merritt joined OSI Systems, Inc. (OSIS) in October 2014 as SVP and Chief Human Resource Officer. Prior to joining OSI Systems, Mr. Merritt held the position of Global Vice President of Human Resources for Power-One (PWER), one of the world’s largest providers of power conversion and power management solutions. While at Power-One, Mr. Merritt was featured in Forefront Magazine, “Business Diagnostic” July/August 2013.
In addition, Mr. Merritt has held the position of Global Vice President at International Rectifier (IRF), a pioneer and world leader in advance power management technology from analog and mix signal ICs to advanced circuit devices, power systems, and components. Mr. Merritt has also held senior level position in global human resources roles for organizations such Sybase and Applied Materials.
Mr. Merritt received his Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology and Organizational Behavior from California State University, Hayward and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Sports Science from Indiana University.
Laurie Ledford CHRO Marsh & McLennan Companies
Laurie Ledford is Chief Human Resources Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies, the premier global professional services firm providing advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy and human capital. Ms. Ledford is responsible for the firm’s overall human capital and talent strategy and the delivery of human resources services to 54,000 colleagues worldwide. She is a member of the Marsh & McLennan Companies Executive Committee.
Previously, Ms. Ledford served as Chief Human Resources Officer for Marsh Inc., the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, a position she assumed in 2006. Ms. Ledford joined Marsh in 2000 and held a number of leadership positions of increasing responsibility before assuming the CHRO role there, including Senior Human Resources Director for international specialty operations, which comprised the firm’s operations in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia/Pacific, and Africa. Earlier, she held positions in Corporate Human Resources, Private Client Services, and Mobility and Succession Planning.
Before joining Marsh, Ms. Ledford was with Citibank for six years and held positions in recruitment, staffing and development, before becoming senior human resources officer for the firm’s US branch network, including Operations, Retail Brokerage, and Business Banking.
Earlier in her career she was with NationsBank (now Bank of America), where she held a variety of positions over a 15-year period, culminating with vice president of human resources responsible for staffing and management development.
Ms. Ledford earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University and an M.B.A. from the University of Miami.
Donna Venable EVP, Human Resources Ricoh Americas Corporation
Donna Venable was appointed Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Ricoh Americas Corporation in April 2015. Responsible for overseeing human resources activities for all Ricoh Americas locations, such as leadership development, employee relations, succession planning, diversity and corporate social responsibility, she was also named Corporate Associate Advisory Officer of Ricoh Company, Ltd., which expands Venable’s role to include Ricoh’s global HR initiatives as she works with leadership and HR teams in Japan. She is an accomplished professional who has been key to Ricoh’s transformation to a services-led organization and aligning Ricoh’s worldwide HR efforts.
Venable most recently served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Ricoh Americas Corporation after holding the same role for IKON Office Solutions before its acquisition by Ricoh. She has more than 14 years of human resources experience with IKON, and 22 total years managing HR functions. Venable also served as Vice President, Human Resources Shared Services, where she led IKON’s global compensation, benefits, systems and programs teams. She also held field human resources roles at IKON. Previously, Venable held HR roles with Doubletree Hotels and Guest Quarters Hotels.
Venable is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is engaged in the HR community serving as a board member of the HR Executive Alliance and co-chair of the HR Executive Summit, Pennsylvania and New Jersey Chapters. Stephanie celebrates 25+ years of broad HR background in the Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods, Entertainment, and Retail industries. Obed Louissaint VP, HR, IBM Watson, Industry Solutions Units, Corporate & Technical Talent IBM
Obed D. Louissaint serves as IBM vice president of human resources for IBM Watson, industry solutions units and technical talent. In this role, Obed is responsible for the people strategies and investments for several of the company’s fastest-growing and most strategic parts of the information technology market. In addition, he also oversees human resources for IBM Research, corporate strategy, legal, marketing, communications, finance, global financing and business transformation.
Obed was most recently vice president human resources of the HR Partner Organization, with global responsibility for the HR business partners who advise over 40,000 managers across the enterprise. The HR generalists are the client facing segment of the global team of HR professionals and collaborate with each of the functional disciplines to administer corporate policies and people solutions.
During his tenure, he has held successive HR roles across multiple geographies, business units and at the enterprise level leading diversity, workforce programs, and delivery centers across growth markets. Obed has led HR teams within several growth businesses to reinvent recruitment, talent management, compensation/incentives, and global mobility policies.
